When I first ran for the Prince William County School Board, I talked about three things that mattered deeply to me: helping every student succeed, building stronger partnerships with families and our community, and creating schools where people feel safe, supported, and valued.

After seven years of serving Coles, I still believe in those same things.

What I've learned is that good local government starts with listening. It means asking hard questions, looking beyond the immediate decision in front of us, and thinking about what that decision will mean for families and neighborhoods five, ten, or twenty years from now.

Those same values shape how I think about the future of Prince William County.

We need to grow thoughtfully. We should welcome economic opportunity while protecting our neighborhoods, our environment, and the things that make people want to call this community home. We need transportation improvements that actually make it easier to get where we're going. We need safe communities, strong schools, thriving local businesses, and county services that keep pace with the people who live here.

Most of all, I believe the people who live here deserve a real voice in the decisions that shape their community.

I've spent years listening to families, working through complicated issues, asking questions, and making difficult decisions as an elected official. I don't believe leadership means always having the loudest voice in the room. I believe it means doing your homework, listening to the people you serve, and being willing to make thoughtful decisions with the future in mind.

Prince William County is changing. I want to make sure we're building a future that works for the people who already call it home and for the generations who will come after us.
